# Google Analytics Integration

Connect Document360 with Google Analytics to gain deep insights into how users interact with your documentation.


Overview

Google Analytics provides detailed metrics about page views, session duration, bounce rates, and user demographics for your knowledge base.


Prerequisites

  • A Google Analytics account (GA4 recommended)
  • Your Measurement ID (format: G-XXXXXXXXXX)
  • Admin access to your Document360 project

Setup Steps

  1. Log in to your Document360 project.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Analytics.
  3. Toggle the Enable switch.
  4. Enter your Measurement ID.
  5. Click Save.

Google Analytics tracking will be active on your documentation site immediately.


Metrics You Can Track

  • Page Views – Most visited articles
  • Session Duration – Time spent on articles
  • Bounce Rate – Users who leave without interaction
  • Traffic Sources – Where visitors come from
  • Device & Location – User device and geographic data

Viewing Reports

  1. Open analytics.google.com.
  2. Select your property.
  3. Navigate to Reports → Engagement → Pages and Screens to see article performance.

Best Practices

  • Set up custom events for search queries and feedback clicks.
  • Use GA4 audiences to identify high-value documentation readers.
  • Review reports weekly to identify content gaps.
